Decorating with Your Collections
Happy Spring!
Today’s post is about decorating with your collections and features some photos from my sister’s house. She has some really fun quirky collections and is great at using them in her decorating.
This bright shiny wreath is made entirely of re-purposed vintage costume jewelry and adds some nice sparkle above the fireplace mantel. I’m not sure I would ever have the patience to create something like this, but I love to look at it!
A really great use for all those fun ceramic bunnies we see in thrift stores, she lines them up on top of her fireplace mantel. Part of having collections is getting to group and display them in new ways .
This wonderful little tin eggs are decorated with lovely vintage colors and motifs. I never seem to be able to find these tin eggs while out thrift and flea market shopping, maybe my sister has all of them?
Who doesn’t like fuzzy little bunnies? I really appreciate the quirkyness of these little spring and easter collections, reminds me of easter egg hunts, finding jelly beans inside little tin eggs and yummy chocolates.
Happy Spring everyone – soon we will be outside shopping the yard sales, flea markets and garage sales! Can’t wait to see what we all find to add to our collections!
