The Eclectic Peddlers
Some of the best vintage shopping discoveries are found completely by accident. That’s what happened to us Saturday. We were out test driving a used car (more details coming soon) and drove past this really cute little shop on Route 462 (E. Market Street), Hallam, PA just off route 30, east of York, PA.

Tom & Kelly Adams opened the doors of this historic little gem in 2014. The building which dates back to 1917 used to be a Travelers Inn, gift shop. As soon as you step in you feel the history, with the warm wood-paneled walls, vintage ceiling lights and a great view into the original old garage bay with walls displaying old posters and license plates.
Just as the name implies, The Eclectic Peddler offers a wide variety of goods with affordable prices, in it’s 2 rooms. The merchandise changes frequently and once the warmer weather arrives they’ll have more to look through out front.
The shopkeepers Tom & Kelly were really friendly and helpful – they even called another nearby shop to find out if a vintage ukulele was still available and gave us some information on other shops we should put on the Tour de Thrift ‘must visit’ list. This kind of friendly customer service will keep us and others coming back. If you’re in the area be sure to stop in a check out this neat little shop. They often post information about the arrival of new inventory on their Facebook page, so have a look and like their page.
