York Flea – Street Fair Flea Market
After a successful start in 2015 the York Flea continues to be a vibrant street fair, flea market held in historic downtown York, PA. The York Flea is held in the charming tree-lined Cherry Lane Park, located behind York’s Central Market. If you’ve never visited downtown York, make sure to check out Central Market, where you’ll find food, produce, and other goods in a beautiful historic building.
The York Flea, has artisan vendors selling a variety of products, including but not limited to, jewelry, candles, artwork, pottery, textiles and vintage finds. The setting under the shade trees and the live music being performed encourages shoppers to take their time, have a seat at one of the cute cafe tables and chairs, eat something yummy and enjoy shopping for unique goods.
There’s a list of vendors on the website and a form to apply if you’d like to be a vendor at one of the upcoming markets.
Up Cycled Soul was one of the vendors that caught my eye with their clever use of vintage goods in their up-cycled creations, featuring whimsical mobiles and assemblage art pieces.
Moonrise Candle Company is a father and son enterprise creating small batch soy candles. I can personally recommend their product, having purchased one of their Sugar Pine + Fig candles at the HBG Flea. Their candles burn nicely and smell great!
Like other vendors at the York Flea Loom and Company also offers their products online. I’ve always enjoyed their bright fun textiles.
As of now July 24, 2017, there are 2 remaining York Flea markets to attend, the next dates will be Saturday, August 19, 2017 and then Saturday, September 16, 2017. If you can I recommend you try to squeeze in a visit!
Hope you’re having a fun summer filled with thrift and flea market adventures. If you have any recommendations for places we should visit leave us a comment. Thanks.
