HBG Flea – Outdoor Fun
9.28.2016
HBG Flea
Local Artists, Vintage Treasures and Curated Curios.
First Saturdays 9am – 3pm
This summer was hot and humid here in central Pennsylvania, but we managed to get out and sell some of our vintage goods at the wonderful HBG Flea. Lucky for us it’s right in our new neighborhood.
The HBG Flea is a new flea / artisan market that we discovered when we moved to midtown Harrisburg, PA. This summer was their first outdoor season and we were excited to be a part of it.
We had a fun time, sold a bunch of stuff and meet some really neat people.
There are still 2 more outside markets this summer, September 3 and October 1, 2016 . The last 2 outdoor markets will be held in the parking lot next to the Midtown Cinema and Zero Day Brewing Company at 250 Reilly Street, Harrisburg, PA.
Here’s some photo’s from the last market. We met some of the vendors, like Retro Cornucopia from Lemoyne, PA. John and his partner had really unique items, and they’ll be selling at the next flea September 3, 2016.
Another vendor was Vagabond Bow Ties. They make beautiful, hand-crafted bow ties, made with re-purposed vintage fabric from men’s neckties.
I really loved the clever vegan taxidermy, vintage inspired jewelry and lovely hand sewn clutches for sale by Molly au Contraire. There are so many talented people selling there creations, I started my holiday shopping, and it’s a great way to support local artists and small businesses.
Hope this little glimpse into the HBG Flea encourages you to come out and visit for yourself.
Remember the last 2 outdoor markets are happening Sept., 3 & Oct. 1, 2016 at the Midtown Cinema located at 250 Reily Street, Harrisburg, PA 17102
